The musculatory system allows you to move. It is made out of muscle tissue and connective tissue. Your muscles contract to pull on your bones which are part of your skeletal system to produce movement. Tendons ind the muscle to the bone and is made of connective tissue. There are two types of muscle: Voluntary and Involuntary. Voluntary muscle is muscle you don't have to think about. There are two types of voluntary muscle. Cardiac such as your heart and Smooth such as your stomach. You don't have to interpret that you need digest your food or make your heart pump your blood. Involuntary muscle is muscle that causes your brain in the nervous system to interpret information and send the signal for you to move. There are also flexors and extensors. Flexors contract to bend the limb and extensors contract to extend the limb. All this helps you maintain homeostasis by helping you move so you can respond and react with the nervous system to do essential everyday things and so you can maintain daily body functions.
The picture above shows a representation of what the general musculatory system looks like.
The image above shows the three different types of muscle and explains what each looks like and what it does. Also states if it is voluntary or involuntary. The smooth muscle tissue is involuntary and is mainly in the walls of internal organs. The cardiac muscle is mainly in the walls of the heart and is involuntary. The skeletal muscle is usually attached to the muscle and is voulntary
